Our Story...
What's in a name? Chris and Tarah's dream of opening a high quality local eatery came to fruition in January 2024.
Both Chris and Tarah are highly trained and skilled chefs in their own right, both are extremely passionate about food and what goes out on the plate. Their dedication to exquisite service and hospitality stretches from coast to coast and now in the middle of the Pacific! Spoon & Key Market (formerly The Market Maui) was crafted by two chefs whose love of food and travel gave this unique name. This dynamic couple have been together over a decade and on one of their first trips, the Spoon & Key name started to take shape.
While traveling throughout Italy, both Chris & Tarah started to collect unique spoons and keys as memories and souvenirs. This turned into somewhat of a competition and of course Chef Tarah won the whole thing!
As they started their family, they took these collected memories and used them as decor for their Christmas tree and have carried this tradition with their daughter and use it to this day. Spoon & Key is a place for family, a place for delicious food and a place to call home.
